Halogen Lamp Use and Safety

Share:  twitter facebook Print

Have a halogen lamp in your home? Take extra caution. Halogen torchiere lamps can present a significant fire risk, even in situations where traditional incandescent and fluorescent bulbs are perfectly safe. To help reduce the risk of fire in your home that could result from improper use of a halogen torchiere lamp, please take the time to follow these precautionary measures.

Avoid leaving high-wattage (more than 100 watts) halogen lamps on when you leave the room or when you are not at home.
