Look for UL Mark on new appliances

I am currently in the midst of a little remodel that has gotten bigger and bigger. We thought we were just going to convert our laundry room to a bathroom but we were so wrong. When you live in a house that’s 100 years old, I suppose the “unexpected” should be expected, but we’re new at this stuff.
I’m happy to report that as we go through our purchases – and there have been many! – that I can look for the UL Mark to help guide my choices. From new washing machine to water heater to light fixtures, seeing the big UL Mark makes me feel like I’m making the safe choice for my family.
